What is Professional Consultative Support?

I believe that in order for us to be effective for our clients we need to take our own physical, emotional and spiritual needs seriously. In coming for individual sessions, or to a professional consultative support (sometimes referred to as supervision) group, we can get the support to do our work well, and in the process build a good reputation and therefore, if we are self employed, a sound business. This is a confidential setting in which you can explore issues concerning professional boundaries, codes of practice, and case management.

You can receive regular advice, information and support around the practicalities of running a practice, such as getting clients, choosing premises, time management, setting fees and so on.

You can also receive help with the emotional issues that arise in the course of doing your therapy work, and get help to build a strong, positive professional self esteem.
